Love of Liberty 1949
designed by Arthur Szyk and printed by Herman Jaffe & D’Arcy Lithographic Company, New York, by six-color lithography at the suggestion of Franklin R. Bruns Jr., philatelic adviser to the Liberian Government; two printings: first issue perforated 11¾ in 45000 complete sets with 55000 extra of the four lower values; reissued later perforated 12½ in 100000 complete sets; apparently, these stamps are the first in the world printed by six colors.
