It looks like this stamp may have issued during 1999-2004 time of civil war in Liberia. Any help from anyone ? It looks like it has a cancel from Monrovia, Liberia.
Here is a new 1914 cover i just got. It shows #129-133, O72-O75 all Dated 15 FEB 1914 on a light colored paper envelope. I think this is how they put them on before they were cut out. The other cover scan is one i got some time ago Dated 15 MAR 191…

Bryant,
Now i see the 2 Four in the middle and the 3 Four at the bottom. I also see the 3 1920 at the bottom. But i only see one 1920 at the top ? Is it there ?
Albert
Bryant,
Thanks for showing the Typewritten surcharge. A very rare stamp, hard to find these days.
The Quintuple on #177 is listed as #177e. I guess the bars at the top are from the stamp above.
Albert

I think #O74 is a double print. If you look at the TOP bar of the 5 you see one bar is even and the other print is at a angle going up. Check out the tip of the bottom of the 5 that comes to a small upward circle and look close i see two diff size c…
Here are 2 photos that come from my collection of over 540 copies of #129-133, O72-O75. #132 with a big fat 5. #O74 with looks like a double print of the 5.
Travis,
Looks right to me. Wow how about that. I got that block from a S.S. Kahn a stamp dealer in Dallas sometime in the 1970's. Mr Kahn got all his Liberian stamps from Philip Cockhill. The story Mr. Kahn told me is that they both meet in London …
Still collecting this issue after 45 years. Does anyone have any NEW ideas about this issue. Was the overprint and cancels done in Liberia or someplace else ? Also do you think the Szekula (Sekula) brothers had anything to do with this ?
On the 1921 issues most CTO dates fall in 1921, 1922. A few dates will be 1923, 1924, 1925. No dates have been reported in 1926, 1927. So any with a 1926 or 1927 date might be postally used.
On 209-213 most CTO are in 1923. Some will be in 1924, 19…
Bryant asked about those 2 papers that Cockrill listed in booklet #21. I have copies of both if anyone would like a Xerox copy. Just let me know where to send them.
My copy came from Henry Chlanda, I guess yours came from Martin Nee. I wonder who got the other one from Martin ? Also in my first post I said they came from Marvin Nee...sorry about that Marty...I should said 'Martin Nee'
