Varaschini collection
Three weeks ago the complete Liberia collection of former LPS member Luciano Varaschini was up for auction at Gärtner Auktionen, Germany. Starting bid was € 50000. Although the lot contains many unique items, a total of € 61000 incl. buyer's premium was probably too much for anyone to pay, so it didn't sell. A PDF (in high resolution 1.2 GB or low resolution 290 MB) covering the complete collection is still available for download. Anyone interested in Liberian philately should get this PDF and keep it as reference.
